The City of Castroville's Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) kickoff will take place on Tuesday, November 28 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
A Unified Development Ordinance is a comprehensive document that consolidates and updates various land development regulations, such as zoning, subdivision, and other development-related ordinances. The UDO aims to streamline and simplify the regulatory framework governing land use and development within a municipality.
A critical component of the UDO process is public engagement. The presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. and there will be time for discussion following. The city wants to involve the community in the development of the ordinance. The kickoff is a great way to begin this process and we would love to receive input from residents, businesses, and stakeholders.
