To operate the electric system as a business for the benefit of all the city’s residents. In serving its customers, the department will use technology which meets the current electrical codes and which provides reliable service so that outages do not significantly affect the city’s economic well-being or cause discomfort for its residents.

Water
To provide potable water for the Citizens as well as abate water pollutants through its wastewater facility. In serving its customers, the department will use technology which meets the current water codes and which provides reliable service for our citizens.

Gas
The goal of the Natural Gas Department is to provide the citizens with a safe and affordable product, backed up with quality service from a contracted well trained, and conscientious work force. CPS Energy is our contracted provider at this time.

Wastewater
The City of Castroville’s Wastewater Department is responsible for the treatment and safe disposal of wastewater, ensuring environmental compliance and maintaining the city’s wastewater infrastructure.

Streets
To manage and maintain City streets and public right-of ways and keep them free from hazards. To provide all citizens with safe roadways by means of roadway repair and street replacement. To remove and repair and hazard that may exist in roadways. To make sure that motorists are free form hazards in public right-of –ways while traveling public streets.

Trash Service
To provide outstanding collection, disposal, and environmental services that enhance the quality of life in our community through superior stewardship backed up with quality service from a contracted well trained, and conscientious work force. Waste Management Inc. is our contracted provider at this time.
