COVID-19: PARD Facility and Program Updates

Effective Wednesday, March 10, all COVID-19-related restrictions on businesses and the statewide mask mandate will be lifted per Executive Order GA-34 executed by Gov. Greg Abbott on March 2.

Our focus remains on protecting our customers and staff while providing the highest level of customer service. The City will no longer limit visitors to most facilities, though we will continue following these safety measures:

  • Requested but not required face coverings worn by staff and visitors

  • Staff health screenings

  • Hand sanitizing stations

  • Enhanced sanitization schedules

  • Safe-spacing, floor markers

  • Physical distancing

Rentals are now available at 100% capacity.

The Mission of the Parks is to create recreational opportunities for growth and enhancement by developing diverse services and programs that promote citizen involvement and a strong sense of community while striving to increase the social, cultural, and physical well-being of its residents and visitors. 
Parks & Recreation Advisory Board
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board was established in October 2011 to review and recommend long range plans for city owned parks.  The board consists of five members, two alternate positions.
