Modifications to City of Castroville Parks and Recreation operations due to COVID-19:

The City of Castroville Parks and Recreation Department will modify some operations effective immediately in order to promote the health and safety of community members and staff.

  • Parks, Pool, RV park and park amenities are open for use as long as you follow all Texas Guidelines. 
  • Follow all guidelines for social distancing.
  • Please follow all rules posted in the park.
  • RV Rec Hall will remain closed until further notice.

Private reservations and events taking place inside the parks will be subject to approval until further notice. This includes events scheduled at the Castroville Regional Park, Lions Park, Houston Square, September Square and park pavilions. Events may be cancelled for a full refund, or rescheduled at the request of the renter.

Parks & Recreation Advisory Board
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board was established in October 2011 to review and recommend long range plans for city owned parks.  The board consists of five members, two alternate positions.
