City Of Castroville Animal Shelter & Donations

Group play shelter pictureThe Animal Services & Code Compliance Department also runs the City's Animal Shelter. This is where the city houses dogs found to be at large within the city hoping to reunite them with their owners or adopt them to a new owner. If you are looking for a new Best Friend, please call our Animal Services Officers to schedule an appointment to come meet with our adoptable dogs. Lost and Found pets, Adoptable Dogs, and latest news/updates for our department can be viewed on our Facebook Page or on our Next-door Page. At this time, the shelter is located in a secure area not accessible to the public. All intake or adoption meets happen by appointment with our Animal Services Officers. The Shelter is also only equipped for dog intake and to hold cats temporarily for TNR services. Cats cannot be held long term.
