The Historic Landmark Commission was established to protect, enhance, and perpetuate the city's history, culture, and architecture by promoting the value and importance in establishing historic landmarks and districts; to help educate the public on the benefits of historic preservation, insure harmonious, orderly, and managed growth and development within the city.

The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board was established in October 2011 to review and recommend long range plans for city owned parks. The board consists of five members, two alternate positions.

Students 3rd grade and up learn the elements and principles of art and study famous artists that emphasize each element through their art. There is a $20 joining fee in which the aspiring artists will receive a t-shirt, sketch pad, and a sketch pencil set. Art Club meets from 2:00-4:00 on the Saturdays listed below.
