2015's National Night Out was held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, and was the best event, so far. Houston Square was packed with different activities. Over 25 booths from local businesses, Churches, and civic organizations were set up and offered many items and events including free popcorn, cotton candy, and carnival games.
The Texas Department of Transportation set up an obstacle course where people navigated through in a peddle cart while wearing "drunk goggles" to simulate a person driving while intoxicated. Homeland Security landed one of their helicopters and allowed people to look inside; Soldiers from the U.S. Army brought out several inflatable games for the kids. The Alsatian Dancers performed a variety of dances for everyone's entertainment. If anyone has ideas or would like to be involved in the 2016 National Night Out, please contact Cpl.
