FAQs

Where do I park for the Concert?

Free parking will be provided at Houston Square. Shuttles will run from the designated parking location to the event starting at 11:00am and will run until the end of the event. The general public will not be permitted to park vehicles in Regional Park, but drop-offs and walk-ins will be allowed.

What does the event cost?

Entry into the Picnic in the Park event, which includes the concert, fireworks, and inflatable water slides and games, will be $5 per person (kids under 13 years old get in free). The entry fee will help fund future 4th of July Events. Vendors will sell food and drinks at the events and will only accept cash.

What should I bring?

Bring sunscreen, bug spray, folding chairs, hats, and other outdoor summer necessities. Remember that it will be hot while the sun is out so dress accordingly. The event is rain or shine, so you may want to pack a personal umbrella. Beach balls, soccer balls, and other picnic games are welcome.

What shouldn't I bring?

Outside food and drinks will not be allowed at the Picnic in Park, but there will be plenty of food and drinks for sale. Don't bring personal barbecue pits, tents, or alcohol. If it won't fit on the shuttle bus, it probably isn't allowed at the event.

Where is the Concert?

The Picnic in the Park will be held in Regional Park which is located at 816 Alsace Avenue, Castroville, Texas.

Will the pool be open at Regional Park?
