Emergency Notice: 

Modifications to City of Castroville Parks and Recreation operations due to COVID-19:

The City of Castroville Parks and Recreation Department will modify some operations effective immediately in order to promote the health and safety of community members and staff.

  • Parks will remain open but any groups of more than 10 people will be prohibited.
  • Pool will continue to be closed until further notice
  • All organized sports will be closed until further notice
  • RV Rec Hall will be closed Effective Immediately

Private reservations and events taking place inside the parks will be cancelled until further notice. This includes events scheduled at the Castroville Regional Park, Lions Park, Houston Square, September Square and park pavilions. Events may be cancelled for a full refund, or rescheduled at the request of the renter. We are not accepting any new reservations for private events taking place during this time period.

Parks & Recreation Advisory Board
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board was established in October 2011 to review and recommend long range plans for city owned parks.  The board consists of five members, two alternate positions.
